Principle of Operation
Sample is set into ceramic holder and introduced into Sample
Heating Furnace. Upon combustion, mercury is atomized, trapped (as gold-amalgam)
and separated from the combusted gaseous products. SP-3D utilizes "dual-steps"
amalgamation before transferring the mercury to detect via Cold Vapor Atomic
Absorption at 253.7nm.

Model SP-3D is fully adopted by UOP 938 and IFP MA-4-9606
for its ability and reliability to analyze trace level of mercury in liquid
hydrocarbons down to 0.1 ppb (parts per billion).
Applications
- Petroleum (Liquid & Gas Hydrocarbon matrices)
- Environmental (Liquid & Solid Waste and Gaseous)
- Food (Liquid & Solid matrices)
- Biological (Liquid & Solid matrices)
