ASTM D445 Standard Test Method for Kinematic Viscosity of Transparent and Opaque Liquids (the Calculation of Dynamic Viscosity)

CAV-2000 Series

Designed for unattended operation, this instrument provides fully automatic kinematic viscosity testing within parameters specified by ASTM D 445. Although fully-compatible with the newest VISCPRO® controlling software, it can be operated independently via a built-in keypad and digital display screen. Measures flow rates within 0.001 sec by electronically timing the liquid meniscus as it moves between thermistor sensors. It offers variable temperature selection at any setting between 20°C and 100°C with an accuracy of ± 0.01°C. A high-temperature bath option (available by request) provides variable temperature control at up to 150°C with an accuracy of ±0.03°C in the upper range. The thermistor sensors mounted on each tube, and the fully-digital sensing circuitry, provide superb accuracy in timing.
