Electronic Thomas Stormer Marine Fuels Viscometer General Purpose Rotational
The ETS-1000 series II instrument electronically measures the viscosity of paint and other liquids. Measurements comply with paint industry specifications. ETS-1000 eliminates the weights and cord found in the manual Thomas®-Stormer®. Viscosity determinations are made quickly and accurately using the latest rotational viscometer technology. The Display Select switch on the front panel allows selection of Krebs Units, centipoise, or grams. At the conclusion of a test, readings can be retained on the digital display using the hold switch. Conversion between the different viscosity units is accomplished by rotating the Display Select switch. Included with the ETS-1000 is an adapter allowing for sample measurement using one-half pint cans. A CANNON® viscosity calibration standard and a certificate of calibration are also supplied.

The MFV has been designed to accurately measure the viscosity of marine fuels between 30 and 1000 centipoise (mPas) at temperatures of 40C, 50C, 80C, and 100C. The MFV-1000 instrument can also be used for other applications consistent with its temperature control and viscosity measurement capabilities, including the ASTM D 244 consistency test for viscosity of asphalt emulsions. The MFV-1000 is a rugged, lightweight instrument ideally suited for use in locations adjacent to fuel loading areas. The MFV-1000 is also highly suitable for determining the viscosity of lubricating oils-better than that required by ASTM D 445 for residual oils at 50C. The MFV-1000 consists of a base, adjustable heater cup/tray, sample cups(2), head unit, and a spindle. A digital display also indicates the temperature, duration of test, and test status.

The CANNON® Model LV 2020 and MV 2020 rotary viscometers measure the torque necessary to overcome viscous resistance to rotation of a spindle (cylinder or disk) immersed in the test material. The Model 2020 instruments then perform the calculations necessary to determine viscosity from the torque measurement, spindle speed and spindle characteristics. The resulting value is displayed on the screen in centipoises. Several spindles in popular geometries are provided with each viscometer. Both models offer eighteen incremental speed adjustments from 0.3 to 100 RPM. Each instrument comes with a standard spindles, spindle guard and viscometer stand. The Model LV 2020 has a viscosity range of 15 to 2M mPa(s) and the MV 2020 has a viscosity range of 100 to 13M mPa(s). Accessories are available to extend the range or for small sample sizes.
